John Richer, a current fellow, will be giving a lecture Saturday 22 September, 2:30 pm in the Wolfson Hall. He will be talking about the Atacama Large Millimetre Array (ALMA), a cutting-edge array of radio telescopes located in Chile, for which he is the UK lead scientist. ALMA will allows us to study in detail the formation of stars and planetary systems. John will tell us how ALMA will shed light on the origins of our cosmos, and present the very first images and scientific results from the telescope.
Everyone is welcome to attend, but if you plan on coming, please email James in the Alumni Office (firstname.lastname@example.org).
