Burns Night

On January 25th, the college will be celebrating the 253rd anniversary of the birth of Robert Burns, the Scottish poet. This is an event steeped in traditions, some of which include:

  • A formal dinner featuring a variety of Scottish fare.
  • A bagpiper to “pipe in the haggis”.
  • Poetry and toasts delivered by members of college, such as the Selkirk grace, Address to a Haggis, the Toast to the Lassies and its reply.
  • Dancing with a live ceilidh band and caller.
