COVID Guidance for All Students

As always, please regularly check the College Coronavirus page for information regarding the Churchill College response to Coronavirus.

Give Me Inspiration! The Paradigm Shift

The College is running a series of conversations with distinguished academics hosted by Professor Dame Athene Donalds. This series of conversations aims to explore the individual paths of some eminent academics who have made it to the top in their own particular ways. How have they found their own solutions to ‘life’, what tips do they wish they’d been given earlier on, and what might they view, retrospectively, with most pleasure or regret? The next in the series of conversations will be with Professor Lucie Green, Professor of Physics and a Royal Society University Research Fellow at University College London. The event is scheduled for 5:00pm BST on 13th May. There is another event in the series scheduled for 5:00pm BST on 26 May 2021 with Chi Onwurah, Shadow Minister of Digital, Science and Technology. Around the University

Bagpipe Competition

At the initiative of a number of alumni, Pembroke College is establishing a Piping Competition (bagpipes) in memory of their veteran Law Fellow from the second half of the twentieth century, James Campbell, who was a distinguished and accomplished piper.  The James Campbell Memorial Medal will be awarded to the winner.  Each contestant would play a medley of their own choice, and there would be a panel of judges to adjudicate.  Our aim is to hold this on the Saturday afternoon before Burns Night – starting in 2022 on 22nd January.  The hope is that we could find enough students – undergrads and postgrads

If you are interested, could you please let me know at Postgrad@chu.cam.ac.uk by Wednesday 12th May.
