Communications and Publicity Officer

The MCR Communications and Publicity Officer will manage content on the MCR website and social media outlets. They will organise and lead a Communications subcommittee to generate content for the MCR community and to promote the MCR community’s interests. They will work closely with College to ensure College sponsored events reach a wide audience. As this is a brand new role on the Committee – the first elected Officer/Officers will help shape this role.

The duties of the Communications and Publicity Officer are outlined in the MCR Procedures section 208:

  • They shall be responsible for promoting the events of the MCR through the MCR’s social media outlets.
  • They shall work with directly the Churchill College Communications Manager to ensure that a graduate voice is provided in all Churchill promotions to alumni, current students and prospective students.
  • They shall be responsible for the organisation and leadership of a Communications subcommittee.
