Boatclub BBQ – Tuesday at 5:00pm

Come meet us at the annual Boat Club Barbecue! This is a great opportunity to have fun around buns and coal, meet some lovely members of the Boat Club, and ask any question on rowing (and enjoy free food & free drinks)! Don’t worry if you have any dietary requirement, you will have your due too.

Freshers squash – Wednesday at 5:00pm

There will be a Freshers’ squash on Wednesday 6th October from 5:00pm to 7:00pm in the main concourse, where you will be able to find out about and sign-up for Churchill societies.

Yoga + Smoothies – Wednesday at 6:00pm

Join our regular Wednesday evening yoga class — this week with free smoothies afterwards at the Buttery! The class is all-levels and attendance is free to members of Churchill and their partners.

You’re welcome to bring your own mat if you have one, though we will also provide mats.

Join us for the MCR Scavenger Hunt on Saturday (9th) at 11:00am. Turn up to solve clues, locate Cambridge landmarks, win prizes and release your inner explorer!

We will meet at the Porters’ Lodge.


Hill College Bar Crawl – Saturday, TBC

Get to know students from across the Hill Colleges (Churchill, Medwards, Fitz, Lucy Can and Eddies) with this bar crawl around the various colleges. Due to COVID-19 and other restrictions, only some of the Colleges will be visited. Exact start time (around 8-9pm) and start location are still to be confirmed, so look out for an email later this week!

We need your help to find the killer. Don your best attire and prepare for an evening of glamour, mystery and live music, featuring the funky Horses on the Beach.

CHUTalks are coming back this term, potentially now in person! CHUtalks is a fascinating seminar series that highlights the cutting edge research undertaken by the Churchill community.

Around the University

Sports Fair – Monday 1:00pm – 5:00pm

Join us on Monday 4th October to find out all about the sporting opportunities at the University of Cambridge. There are over 70 clubs and societies signed up. The SU will be providing shuttle buses from Queens’ backs starting at 1:00pm. The event will be located in the University Sports Center.


Freshers’ Fair – Tuesday and Wednesday all-day

Cambridge SU hosts an annual Freshers’ Fair event to showcase everything Cambridge has to offer to both new and returning students. The SU will be hosting the 2021 Freshers’ Fair on Tuesday 5th and Wednesday 6th October on Parker’s Piece. This event will be taking place in-person, following government guidelines on large-scale events.

This year, The SU will be introducing tickets for attendees. These tickets will permit entry for a certain time slot, chosen by the attendee. Tickets will be free, and will be released at noon on Monday 20th September. You can book your tickets here after logging in with your university account.


Cambridge Whisky Appreciation Society: Freshers Squash – Friday at 8:00pm

The Cambridge Whisky Appreciation Society is hosting their annual fresher’s squash this Friday at Little St Mary’s Church. Tickets are £8.00 at the door, which will give you the opportunity to taste 5 different whiskies.

Whether you’re completely new to the spirit, or a whisky aficionado we think that our events can offer something for everyone. We try to choose whiskies that offer a variety of flavours and stories, and we hope that you might meet some new friends too.
